Co-founded by David Tufuga, whose 21-year career spans across both government and community agencies, Village Caretakers was established in 2025 from firsthand insight into the struggles many people with disabilities face when transitioning back into the community.

David’s 15 years with Youth Justice NSW and extensive experience in rehabilitation, behaviour intervention, and mentoring, shaped the foundation of our evidence-based, person-centred approach.

Today, Village Caretakers brings together a passionate, multidisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to helping people with disabilities live independently, build life skills, and reconnect with the community. From daily-living supports to skill-development and reintegration programs, our services are designed to promote long-term wellbeing and sustainable outcomes.

At Village Caretakers, we don’t just provide support, we walk beside our participants as they reclaim their independence, rediscover their strengths, and create new beginnings.
